Just wanted to let you know what a wonderful, fun experience the Listen to Your Mother Show was. Thanks tons to director Jennifer Williams, producer Elaine Alguire, and the cast. Here’re some pics. Photo creds are not a clean business: some were taken by Elaine Alguire, some by Ted Slaughter, and some were edited as well by Jennifer Williams. All three are fabulous.

Getting ready in the humongous dressings rooms below Jefferson Theater.

Rapt as cast member Monica Berry takes the stage. Can you tell how gorgeous the Jefferson Theater is?

This is my serious face. Sort of.

This is my not-serious face.

Cheering for cast member Howard Cox.

L to R: Howard Cox, Sean Wilson, Jill Patir, Debbie Slaughter, Candy Mejia, Jennifer Williams, Elaine Alguire, Monica Berry, Kelley Nettles, Dolores Mitchell, Shari Gunter, and Pamela Fagan Hutchins.

I read a piece about my mother called For Better or For Worse. If you’ve read the “Nice Legs” story fromĀ Hot Flashes and Half Ironmans, you’ve read most of it. But not like I read it. :-)

I wish I’d raised my arm like Howard!

How beautiful is this old theater?

Having some fun in the dressing rooms.

Happy Mother’s Day, y’all.

  1. I really don’t know how you’re able to stay so energized for all of this. Man, you’re always on the go doing something cool. I would have loved to see your presentation. Hugs to you and Eric.

I guess I’m going to have to visit your blog every now and then and watch one of your videos, just so I can hear your funny voice or your voice when you’re funny……oh, you know what I mean! And also so we can swap stories about losing our minds over our teens :)

I’m so blessed that this show brought us together – even if for just a short while.

We’ll forever be fellow castmates :)
